Wow.
This really shows how we judge people. It doesn't matter if they have a nice ass or huge breasts, it actually does all come to their face. At least, for people who can see, that is.
Super Smash Flash

Ehh.....
I did not really like this game. But, as a reviewer I tend to force myself to find what is good, and what is bad about it.
This is, a very complicated game. I'm sure it must have taken a long time, and you must be talented to create such a game for a sixteen year old. I liked the range of characters, the unique gameplay and interactivity. I also liked the maps and story mode. The game certainly grabs my attention being so complicated- but it has serious faults.
First off, the controls are poorly positions. I found it very awkward that the jump and attack buttons were placed so closely together- it made it difficult for me to jump and attack in split-second battles. Just as well, the limited range of attacks were not as I expected, and blocky when transitioned.
I also did not like the controls due to the unsensitivity of it. The jumping really got close to breaking my nerves. It took so long to change directions in mid-air, I could have popped open a soda, finished it and walked to a recycling bin and threw it away before a certain character would go in the opposite direction than it had in mid-air. Second, it made it really hard to distinguish attacks, due to the slow transition between any other pose to a attack that it leaves you wide open.
I also did not see much difference in speed of the characters. Sonic, supposedly a fast hedgehog had trouble outrunning Mario, the fat plumber. Just as well, the damage ratio was set too high. One attack from a CPU and it had my damage percentage to 48%. that made battles boring, fast, and uninteresting. All I would have to do was corner someone and tap away at him until he has 200% and the knock him into the air and kill him.
All in all, the game was a ingenius creation, and I'm sure people will be lined up at my house deciding which window to break- but It really isn't that great of a game in my taste. Its worth playing, but not worth all the hype and position its in.
Bubble Tanks 2
Rated 4.5 / 5 stars August 8, 2008
A game that captures attention
As a professional(coughlol) rater, I'd like to look at this game thorougly and break it down nicely. Now, some people say nothing can be perfect, because there are painfully few things that are perfect in the first place. Bubble Tanks 2 is an example of a piece of hard work, as perfect as can get. I enjoyed it quite well, the first time beating the entire game without so much as a complaint.
Now there, NibiruNega thought 'Hmmm, that wouldn't make an interesting review' so he decided to play the game again, instead of enjoying it- rating it, checking for flaws and things to improve upon. I am not a critic, therefore I had trouble finding something to actually complain about.
The gameplay was smooth, not much lag despite all the detail. I did, however find terrible lag whenever I enter a room with multiple enemies, especially those whom spawn rockets that target you by the drove when you shoot thier eggs. I personally don't like that, It does not give me much room to manuever and shoot back without being blown to Mars by multiple shots. Just as well, I found the tutorial part of the gameplay lacking depth, as well explained as it was. The tutorial merely stated basic controls, without even telling you what buttons for secondary fire, and pause were. Now, I could make due with just the primary fire, but without secondary fire (To your knowledge) its like fighting a dragon with no armour and a half-blunted sword.
I liked the detail you put into the game, the different colored bubbles to add a refining touch. The level-up branches are unique, I never get the same choice of bubble-tanks every time which is something I thouroughly enjoyed when playing this game. Just as well, when you mentioned speed you stuck true to your word, the heavy hitters slowing down enough to be noticeable, and the light fighters speedier. I also like the fact that you made multiple types of enemies, and a encyclopedia to define them- which made skimming through the game quite fun in search of new types of enemies to record down and kill like alien hunters.
The final boss battle was one of the most enjoyable parts of the game, it was only due to the fact I had a super-fast fighter was so I was able to shoot and evade at the same time.
All in all, as a reviewer I'd like to say this: As many flaws as it might have, play it anyways- and when you take a bath next time, check closely: there may be a war going on ;)

[DjBjra] - The Final Chase
Rated 4.5 / 5 stars July 13, 2009
Quite the run!
I have never really been a fan of racing, pulsating, and rather rave-worthy music such as this. It moves too fast, often ends too quickly, and requires itself to loop over and over to really cover something that needed that sort of music. But as loathe I am to listen to music like that, I couldn't help but be taken in by this piece right here.
It boasts a ethereal and spacey backround which gives me a thought of two gundams racing through the stars over some objective. I have few qualms about listening to this. The beginning was well played, the steady increasing number which is classic. I particularly enjoyed the milked notes which echo in my head and give it that trademarked distant feeling. It goes perfectly with the theme of outer space, but does it really fit in with a chase scene?
Somehow I can't imagine the bulk of this piece being in a chase scene. The parts where I noted as "spacey" seem to contradict with the idea you were going for, even though you seem to have been making a chase scene. The light, airy, drawn out notes meld into the melody, but contradicts the fast moving pieces at the same time. It reminds me of the Rainbow Road theme in Mario Kart. Though the music seems to repeat the same fast-beating motion, I don't think it has really ever bored me, but is also fails to raise that adrenaline level you get when doing a close chase.
However, you did a very good job in introducing your piece- but I feel that the light that radiates from it dims after a moment, where it gets slightly off theme to a chase. I continue to enjoy the ethereal notes, but I think you could have done better using a different kind to make it seem more 'down-to-earth', which would have been so much better- you are quite a good artist.
I don't have much more to complain about, but aside from the spacey notes, this was a very good piece that did a decent job of putting the sounds of a chase into music, albeit a very misty, nebulous piece. I am afraid I cannot give you a perfect score, but it is very close to being perfect by itself.
Night Terror
Rated 4 / 5 stars July 8, 2009
Is it really a Night Terror?
The music itself is not too far off from rather ordinary. I am not sure what you were really going for, based off the one-lined description but I am sure you achieved a good stopping point between 'loud and dramatic' and 'quiet and unnoticeable.' I liked the fact that you used rather rare instruments like the bass and the drums for important scene music, and as far as those kinds of mixes go, it went pretty well.
Some problems I had were the constant fluctuations between the melody of the music and the naming of the song. I'll address the latter first. I'm not sure why you named your song "Night Terror" but only a few parts gives of the feeling of heart pounding terror, while some other parts, like toward the middle give off a feeling of regality and, for lack of a better word, pride. But the music itself it good, so there weren't really any points off for that. Naming is hard to do, after all. For the music, however I wasn't entirely pleased with how the music changed in feeling at some points. Like I said before, there were moments where it felt like adrenaline and quick-paced terror and some parts held little of that, holding more of a calm and subdued sense. In my opinion, there should have been a certain theme to your music that you should have stuck to, but not that it made this piece any less interesting and worth keeping.
Have heart, the bad part is over. What I really enjoyed about this piece is it's constant beat, too fast for mental track but slow enough to get a sense of meaning into it. I liked the use of the drums for that, because the drums have rarely, if ever gotten a lead role in a piece. I liked the use of the notes, and though the squeaking near the beginning marred the music, it all blended smoothly into a mindless set where you just really listened to the music, and have enough concentration to focus on something else- which is really what backround music is all about.
All in all, the music was well worth listening to. But the constant changes in the tempo and the emotions that you feel and what the music radiates is too variable- so I'm afraid I'll have to give you a 8/10.
Final Goodbye (EQ)
Rated 3.5 / 5 stars August 11, 2008
Personally, I cannot find the connection.
Looking at this song, I found it cheerful at first before it desends into a place somewhere between melancholy and contentment. The music and lyrics are beautifully choerographed, but looking at the song overall- I am afraid I must give it this score.
Perhaps it is because I did not listen carefully, but I cannot find the connection between the title, and the lyrics. For me, that is the most important part in a song. Just as well, the beginning seemed to happy for me to relate to the title, Final Goodbye(EQ). I didn't like that fact, which was made worse because even as the song goes into depth it doesnt truely integrate with the the deeper meaning in the lyrics. I also did not like the fact the song was way too short. I can understand that making a song is difficult- but a song thats only two minutes and twenty seconds short does not hold my attention for the period of time I usually do. I'd also like to add to that. The climax came too quickly, which is inefficient for listening to music.
On the good side, I loved the vocalist immensely. She has real talent, and the music itself is not too bad either at first. Blending the piano in to add meaning to the song was a brilliant move, and in places I really enjoyed the song.
Overall, It is good to listen to- but this isn't perfect.
Thats alright at least I got a 7 :)
I don't understand how you did not see the connection with the song title and the song itself though, She's singing about a partner she is no longer with but misses dearly, this was her way of letting go and saying the final goodbye, the (EQ) part on the end of the song is so that people know it's my song because my artist name is Equation and obviously the first 2 letters from that name is EQ...
In fairness it is a really short track, I originally posted this song without any lyrics (Forever Missed which was a short song dedicated to my father,
Unfortunatly I never saved the project so I couldn't extend it which is a shame as I also wanted it a bit longer.
Hopefully you'll like our future tracks that we are working on at present time.

Slow, but acceptable.
For a first flash, this isn't half bad. Even so, parts of it really IS bad. But because it is your first flash, It's not really much of a big deal. First flash. First Flash.
First of, I'd like to comment on the action itself. Despite it's smooth transitions, it was a little slow. I think in a real fight it should have been a little faster, because the fight so slow I could set a world record for paddle balling before the samurai finished his sword stroke.
The song comes next. I like how it fits the setting and all, but such a calm and slightly forboding song really shouldn't be the theme for a fight scene between the ninja, a assassin and the samurai, the bodyguard. It might have fit in the beginning and maybe the end when the Ninja disappears, but not during the fight.
I thought the wounds could have been worse, because swordfights are never usually that prolonged or harmless. Especially when the Ninja hits the same place twice during the fight really put off the realism and made it look more like a choreographed fight scene I'd see in a movie.
The dash of humor was entertaining, however. The samurai wanted to eat his breakfast (?) but the Ninja ruined it and now he is sad. That made me chuckle, which is really what humor is about.
The scene of the fight could have used more shading like you did with the bamboo forest, because it looked white and bland. I didn't like it at all, the samurai was too... well.. white, and I couldn't focus on his very well. That was a huge drawback, I found myself looking more at the backround than the fight scene. I think you should have made the samurai stick out a bit more other than the fact that he was one of the two or three things moving in the entire flash.
Overall, I have to give it a 7/10. It was entertaining to watch, but leaves a lot to be desired.

Surprising.
Looking at this short flash, I thought it was quite strange in regards to the plot. What looked like a man trying to save a senior turned into something a bit more grotesque. My first impressions was that the drawing style was quite cute, belying the upcoming events that would surprise you if you were not expecting it.
What I liked about this flash was the fact that the drawing style was so simple, and so fitting to the story- made to look comical. I especially loved the way you replaced the old mans eyes with 'X's to show he has been KO'ed, or dead. I also liked most of the upcoming plot, but there are illogical instances and other events that bring me to admit I didn't like it as well as I wanted to.
For one, Jerry puking all over the ground. Though it is meant to be comical, puking twice the amount of sick than the contents of your stomach really didn't make me laugh as much as I would have. Also, the illogical appearance of a puppy in the middle of the road, which doesn't seem to have a sense of self preservation. Innocence may be a factor, but it didn't freeze when it saw a fast moving object screaming toward it. All it did was tilt its head and stare with big eyes back.
I also did not like the driving sequence. Jerry was driving with his head turned away from the man. Even if it was a awful sight, isn't it logical to keep your eyes on the road? The armless socket was facing away from him as well. What I didn't get was that the old man would crash through the wind shield, as if it was paper, and how the other driver apparently missed seeing a bleeding old man in the middle of the road.
Overall, it's probably a bit too critical in contrast. I'm sorry if it seems harsh- It really is a fun flash to watch in spare time. But its not perfect, and realism doesn't seem like it exists in this flash.
I think the bulk of your problems came from the art style.. The perspective of Jerrys face, etc. He IS supposed to be looking at the road in the vehicle... its just the way the character was drawn.
Thanks for the comments and for the review!

Admirable work.
As Yahtzee of Zero Punctuation says: "As close as a game gets to Portal perfection, the easier it is to spot the flaws. I am going with the same philosophy here in my review. Before I watch a flash, play a game or listen to the song, I read the reviews. Apparently your fans precieve this flash as 'made by god' kind of stature. Whatever light the past reviewers puts the flash/game/audio in, I expect it to be so.
First, what I liked about this flash.
Yes, indeed it was very well made. The antagonist origin is unique, makes sense in relation to the story, and has potential. I liked his name choice, Nazo as explained. I appreciate that you put the flash into a trilogy, as well as including a summary so someone who did not see the first two knew what was going on. What else I appreciated is that the summary was short, sweet and informative. Just as well, you rounded the characters to be just as expected in the games and shows with thier personality.
Now, for what I disliked.
Looking at it all in all, the flash contained a little bit too much of a relation to DBZ. If I showed this flash to anyone else, everyone would see the relation. It's like watching a famous movie you thought was unique and perfect before reading on the newspaper that the creator was being sued for copying another movie. Nazo was basically Cell, while the merging of Shadow and Sonic reminded me of Goten and Trunks Kid, or Goku and Vegeta.
I also did not like the way it was resolved. From my perspective, it seemed that the enemy came back time and time again, and it could only be defeated with a power even stronger than it- without relation to cunning nor speed. First, Nazo seems to be invincible in his perfect state. Then somehow Sonic and Shadow, Shadic defeats him. Nazo gets even stronger, and Shadic beats him again, using the idea that "The good guy always wins." I would like to take a moment and add to that. "The good guy always wins- even if the enemy has all the power of god himself."
Now for the last small flaw. The animation drawings were very very good, but the animation itself as well as some effects were simplistic and blocky. Maybe I was expecting too much from what your reviewers/drooling fanboys put it as, but I thought the animation should be a bit more smoother. I know you already had put so much work into it, and I appreciate that you put that time and effort into it. But it seems like it was missing something in the effects, and animation.
Overall, NibiruNega says that it is a stunning conclusion to the Nazo Trilogy, and is very good to watch. Lengthy, without a pause/play button at the very least- but still worth watching if you have the free time.
